BANGKOK, June 4 (AFP): The Thai government's economic think tank today trimmed down the nation's growth projections for 2007, saying political uncertainty would affect domestic consumption and investment.
The National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) said the economy could grow in a range of 4.0-4.5 per cent this year, down from its projection of 4.0-5.0 per cent made in early March.
This is in line with the finance ministry and the Bank of Thailand, which both slashed their 2007 growth figures citing low consumer and business confidence because of political uncertainties since a coup here last year.
