UAE satellite telecom firm to distribute products in United States

ABU DHABI, Dec 26 (Xinhua): Thuraya, a satellite telecom firm in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will distribute its satellite telecom products in the United States in a bid to expand its market base, local newspaper Khaleej Times reported yesterday.
According to a distribution agreement between Thuraya and the US consultancy company Horizon, customised projects in key sectors such as transport, humanitarian, security, media, oil and gas and government which function within the footprint of Thuraya's coverage area will be in place in the first quarter of 2008.
