0.35m tonnes hilsha output this season likely

Experts in the fisheries department expect that hilsha production this fiscal would climb up to 0.35 million tonnes because of the strict `jatka' conservation drive undertaken by the government during the spawning season. The department of fisheries with the help of law enforcing agencies and the local administration seized as much as 114.16 tonnes of jatka during November-April , the breeding season, said a report of the fisheries department. - BSS
