August has been the worst month of this calendar year since the country has witnessed the highest number of dengue deaths and infections in this month.
Some 67,301 people have been hospitalised in August and 318 deaths have been reported.
Meanwhile, the dengue patients and their attendants alleged that they had been facing severe crisis of saline, used for treatment. They were not getting saline even after going to different dispensaries.
Medicine stores said they were not getting ample supply of the life-saving item - mainly due to its unusually high demand across the country.
