2 students drown in city lake

Two students drowned at a waterbody in the city's Aftabnagar area under Badda thana Saturday noon. The victims were identified as Kaiser (14), son of Yusuf Ahmed and Tusar (15). Both of them were students of class X of Moghbazar T&T High School. Family members of Kaiser said both the victims had gone to school Saturday. Later, they went to Aftabnagar to take a bath in a lake after returning from school at about 1:00 pm. Other people, who were taking a bath on the lake, rescued them. Kaiser was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Tusar at Holy Family Hospital, where both were pronounced dead. — UNB
