2,121 posts at Ctg port remain vacant

The country's main seaport in Chittagong runs with 2,121 posts under the CPA remaining vacant against 8,656 sanctioned posts, parliament was told Sunday. Replying to a starred question from Awami League lawmaker MA Latif (Chittagong-10), Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said that his ministry got approval from the government to appoint 80 per cent workforce against the vacancies. —UNB
