3rd Shitalakhya Bridge tolls fixed

Tolls for using 1.29 kilometres bridge known as 3rd Shitalakhya Bridge connecting Narayanganj Bandar thana have been finalised as its work is supposed to be completed by July next.

According to a gazette notification published on Saturday by Road Transport and Highways Division of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, toll for private car is Tk 65 and  four wheeler, pickup, conversion jeep, wrecker, crane and eight seat microbus and vehicles carrying 15 passengers Tk 100.

Toll for trailer is fixed at Tk 625, heavy truck Tk 500, medium truck with two axle Tk 250, mini truck carrying three tonnes Tk 190, 31-seat bus Tk 225, vehicles like power tiller, trucker used in agriculture purposes Tk 150, minibus below 30 seat Tk 125, motorised vehicles like auto-rickshaw, van, bettery operated rickshaws Tk 25, motorcycle Tk 15 and rickshaw van, bicycle Tk 5.

The RHD has been constructing the bridge over the River Shitalakhya to connect the Bandar upazila and Syedpur Sadar since 2017. Its deadline has been revised four times since the project taken in 2010.
