Health ministry drafts list, open for update

The health ministry on Tuesday published a draft list of martyrs of the Anti Discrimination Movement during July-August and the people related to or having the knowledge about the victims will be eligible to further update or revise it till October 6.

The eligible public can provide their input through various public and private hospitals and the authorities will collect those updates for the list, according to a public circular.

The list remains accessible on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) websites--www.hsd.gov.bd and www.dghs.gov.bd.

The authorities made the list accessible for correction or addition of information on Monday after publishing it on the website.

Family members, heirs, or representatives of the martyrs are instructed to verify, correct, or complete the names, addresses, and other relevant information published in the list, the circular said.

The eligible public may submit opinions, suggestions, or any new data for the published list through designated hospitals or the nearest government hospital.

To update or correct the information in the published list, the eligible public has been directed to follow the instructions below:-

They should first register with a national identity card/ birth certificate and mobile number.

The eligible public has to fill out a form with the details after downloading and printing it and make sure that all the blank spaces of the printed paper is updated with information.

They can ask assistance from the designated hospitals, which are obliged to help in filling out the form, and in correcting and submission of the information.

The person in-charge of the hospital will update the information online by submitting the information of the form filled by the eligible public.

The eligible public has been instructed to re-verify the information online after completing the submission of the updates so that accuracy is ensured, according to the circular.

The eligible public has been instructed to contact the concerned district administrator, civil surgeon, upazila executive officer, or upazila health and family planning officer with proof if they find that the name of an Anti-Discrimination Movement's martyr has not been included in the official list.
