75,000 to perform Hajj this year

A total of 75,000 pilgrims will perform holy Hajj this year from Bangladesh, of them 15,000 under government management, while 60,000 under private management. Religious Affairs Secretary Kamal Uddin Ahmed said this and announced Hajj Package-2010 at a press briefing in the conference room of the ministry in the city Tuesday. The Hajj is expected to be observed on November 17 (Zilhajj 10, 1431 Hijri) subject to moon sighting. He said, each Hajj pilgrim would have to pay Tk 2,28,615 who intends to go through government management. — BSS
