CHITTAGONG, Oct 7 (UNB): Eighty-two Bangladeshi nationals and four Nepalese were deported Sunday from Dubai Airport for not having valid documents to enter the UAE.
Official sources said a Biman flight (BG 047), carrying 213 passengers, left Chittagong Shah Amanat Airport Saturday for Dubai.
On arrival at the Dubai Airport, immigration authorities found the 82 Bangladesh nationals and the four Nepalese carrying fake visas. They were deported to Bangladesh by the return flight.
The immigration authorities at the Chittagong airport handed over the deportees to the Airport police.
Of the deportees, 33 hailed from Chittagong and 49 from Dhaka.
During interrogation, the deportees disclosed the names of 16 recruiting agencies that sent them abroad with a promise of providing them with better jobs.
