9 die as buses collide

SAVAR, Nov 21: At least nine persons including two children and three women have died in a head-on collision between two buses at Kabirpur of Ashulia. The accident occurred around 6:30pm, Ashulia police sub-inspector Abid Hossain said on Sunday. The number of deaths could increase, he added. Earlier, in another accident in Gazipur five people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on-collision between a pickup van and a human hauler on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Kodda in Sadar Upazila on Sunday. — UNB
