ACC quizzes 8 former, serving CPA officials in GATCO case

The Anti-Corruption Commission Sunday questioned eight former and serving officials of Chittagong Port Authority in connection with the container handling case filed against former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko and 11 others, reports UNB.
Sources said a two-member investigation team comprising ACC deputy director Jahirul Huda and CID Inspector of Taskforce-23 Nurul Islam separately questioned the eight individuals from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Those questioned Sunday are former members of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) AK Rashid, Mohsin Sarker, Captain Amirul Islam and Captain Kamrul Hossain, suspended director (operation) Ahsanul Kabir, director (Transportation) Kazi Abdul Momen, an assistant traffic manager and a former assistant traffic manager (now on LPR).
The questioning was part of the ongoing extensive grilling of individuals, including former ministers and secretaries in the case.
