Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid Monday said admission to class I in the primary sections attached to the 13 government secondary high schools in the capital will be decided through lottery. This is for the first time that admission will take place through lottery in a bid to reduce the burden of studies on children. Nahid said the system of lottery is being introduced on the basis of public opinion. Admission to classes II to IX will be made through admission tests. He said the private schools will take their own decision regarding the admission in their schools. — UNB
