Advisory Council approves new budget

The caretaker government Wednesday  approved the proposed national budget for 2007-08 fiscal to be  announced today. A meeting of the council of advisers, with Chief Adviser Dr  Fakhruddin Ahmed in the chair, approved the budget after discussion  on it when the budget was placed before the council, according to an  official of the Chief Adviser's office.- UNB
