Amar Desh editor Mahmudur freed

GAZIPUR, Mar 17: Mahmudur Rahman, acting editor of Bengali daily Amar Desh, has been released from jail after nine months. He walked out to freedom from the Gazipur District Jail around 11:30am on Thursday after serving jail-term in a contempt of court case. His relatives and a number of BNP leaders received him at the jail gate.
