Another list of corruption suspects to be published this month

Communications Adviser MA Matin said Monday that government would publish a list of 200-220 corrupt suspects within this month, reports UNB.
Talking to reporters at his Secretariat office, the Advisor, however, assured that no new list of corrupts would be published after this month.
Matin, also Chairman of the National Coordination Committee against Corruption and Serious Crimes, said the taskforces want to complete all the tasks it initiated within 2008, including investigation.
Thereafter, they would not launch anymore drive against corrupts, he added.
He said, "None has been arrested for political consideration. The corrupts are being brought under justice in view of their involvement in corruption."
bdnews24.com adds: The Anticorruption Commission has filed four separate cases against former BNP minister Shajahan Siraj and three former Awami League lawmakers Sheikh Helal Uddin, Haji Selim and Kamal Ahmed Majumder.
Four ACC officials filed the four cases with Ramna and Lalbagh police stations in the capital Monday. The cases have been filed under the emergency powers rules and the Criminal Procedure Code.
ACC assistant director Khairul Huda filed the case against former jute and textiles minister Shajahan Siraj and wife Rabeya Siraj with Ramna police.
Shajahan Siraj is accused of earning wealth worth Tk 6.85 million beyond his known income. Rabeya is accused in the case of concealing information about a bank balance of Tk 65,992.
