B Chy announces new LDP presidium

Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President AQM Badruoza Chowdhury Wednesday announced a new presidium of the party dropping Oli Ahmed, former speaker Sheikh Razzak Ali and 11 others, report agencies.
His action came within 24 hours of Oli's announcement that LDP President B Chowdhury and Secretary General MA Mannan quit the party.
New nine presidium members are: Mohammad Abdullah, MA Mannan, Giasuddin Ahmed, Arshaduzzaman, Mukit Khan, Nurul Amin Bepari, Arif Mohiuddin, MA Halim and Joynul Abedin.
B Chowdhury and Mannan will remain in the presidium by dint of their portfolios.
He announced the 11-member presidium from a press conference at KC Memorial Clinic in the city's Baridhara area.
Meanwhile, Oli Ahmed told bdnews24.com: "We are still with the LDP. It's a matter to think if three of a 17-member body can expel 14 others."
"Professor Badruddoza Chowdhury is much respected in our party.
"If he now dissolves the presidium, I have nothing to say," he added.
Earlier, LDP Executive President Oli Ahmed Tuesday claimed that AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury had decided to quit the party.
