Bangladesh elected member of FAO body

Bangladesh has been elected member of the Programme Committee of the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO). Bangladesh's Alternative Permanent Representative to FAO Sultana Afroz bagged the highest 33 votes in 138th Council of the FAO, which was held in Rome on November 25, said an agriculture ministry press release. Japan and Malaysia got 32 votes and 26 votes respectively in the FAO body for Asia and the Pacific region, it said. — FE Report
