Barapukuria coal mine shut after fire incident

DINAJPUR, Oct 31: Coal extraction from Barapukuria mine was stopped following a fire incident at the elevator of the mine Saturday afternoon. Managing Director Mohammad Kamruzzaman said IC (integrated circuit) of the elevator of Phase No 1108 was burnt in a fire incident Saturday evening, making the lift inoperative. — UNB
