BB, Brac to sign deal on agri credit to share-croppers

Bangladesh Bank and Brac will sign an agreement today (Wednesday) on disbursement of agriculture credit to share-croppers. Under the agreement, Brac in association with 150 other organisations will distribute the agri credit across the country, said a Bangladesh Bank official. Early this fiscal year, Bangladesh Bank had announced an allocation of Tk 5.00 billion (500 crore) as agriculture credit dedicated exclusively for the share-croppers. This is the first ever credit allocation for the share-croppers in the country. — UNB
