BB relaxes transaction limits of MFS

The central bank re-fixed maximum limits for mobile financial service (MFS) transactions to facilitate flow of money ahead of Eid, according to a circular issued Monday.

The Bangladesh Bank withdrew the number of daily transaction times and re-fixed the daily cash-out limit at Tk 25,000 from agent point. Monthly-transaction limit is Tk 150,000.

For cash-in, the limit is raised to Tk 30,000 with the monthly limit set at Tk 200,000.

The person-to-person (p2p) cash-transfer limit has been set at Tk 25,000 daily and Tk 200,000 monthly.

"An MFS account can now keep a maximum balance of Tk 300,000," the BB circular says.

Besides, bank account-to-mobile financial service daily money-transfer limit has been set at Tk 50,000 while monthly cap is Tk 300,000.
