The government has withdrawn Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority's (BEPZA) executive chairman Brig Gen Jamil Ahmed Khan, three days after the violent labour unrest in Chittagong that left three people dead and many more injured. He is being replaced by Maj Gen A T M Shahidul Islam, said an establishment ministry order on Tuesday. Jamil Ahmed Khan has been deputed to the Armed Forces Division as part of a process to send him back to the army. — bdnews24.com
