Bhutanese PM due today

Bhutan's Prime Minister Jigmi Y Thinley arrives in Dhaka today (Monday) on a four-day official visit with a mission to boost bilateral trade and economic cooperation with Bangladesh. Thinley, also current chairman of the 8-nation SAARC, will be the first Head of the Government of Bhutan to visit Bangladesh after democratically elected government in Thimphu ending the decades old monarchy. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to receive Thinley at the airport. Thinley will lead a 20-member high-powered delegation that includes the Health Minister, Cabinet Secretary, Foreign Secretary and leading businessmen. — UNB
