Body to probe fire incident at Nirbachan Bhaban

A five-member committee has been formed to investigate the fire incident at Nirbachan Bhaban, the headquarters of the Election Commission on Sunday, reports UNB.
The committee, headed by Additional Secretary of the Election Commission Mokhlesur Rahman, has been asked to submit its report within three working days, said Election Commissioner MahbubTalukder while talking to reporters at the Nirbachan Bhaban early Monday.
Earlier, on Sunday, a fire broke out at the Nirbachan Bhaban in the city's Agargaon area.
Quamrul Hasan, an operator at the Fire Service Central Control Room, said the fire originated on the basement around 11:06pm.
On information, 10 firefighting units rushed in and brought the fire under control around 12:30 am on Monday.
