KABUL, Nov 6 (Agencies): Two bomb blasts targeted a group of lawmakers touring a factory north of Kabul Tuesday, killing at least 90 people, including six parliamentarians, the deadliest attack in Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban in 2001, officials said.
The bombs went off outside a sugar factor in the northern province of Baghlan as the lawmakers were about to go inside.
The twin blasts struck school children, Afghan elders and government officials who had gathered to greet the visiting delegation, officials said
"The bodies of 90 people have been brought to the hospital so far and 50 people have been wounded," Baghlan hospital director Khalilullah said.
