314 on primary list for CIP status
The government has primarily prepared a list of 314 business persons in order to award them commercially important person (CIP) status for their outstanding export performance in 2022, officials said. Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) prepared the list out of 329 applications. Of the recommended ones, some 283 are single applications and 31 group applications. Page 24

Two banks to issue Tk 16b bonds
Two listed private commercial banks -Pubali Bank and Premier Bank-- have decided to issue subordinated bonds worth Tk 16 billion to strengthen their capital base. The subordinated bonds are non-convertible, unsecured, fully redeemable and institutions can invest in the bonds for seven years. Page 16
