Four SoBs urged to invest in capital mkt
The securities regulator has requested four state-owned commercial banks to inject fresh funds into the capital market through formation of special fund. Lower limit of circuit breaker up to 5.0pc
The securities regulator has extended the range of price correction of listed securities on a temporary basis, revising the lower limit of the circuit breaker. In an order - issued on Wednesday, the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) expanded the lower limit of the circuit breaker to 5.0 per cent from 2.0 per cent, keeping the upper limit unchanged. MRA report to have data of all sectors
Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) has taken an initiative to include data on microfinance from all sectors available in the country in its annual report, said its officials. To this effect, the annual report titled 'NGO-MFIs in Bangladesh' will be changed into 'Microfinance in Bangladesh (Annual Statistics)' from now on. Page 14
Shakib to play Test series against Lanka
Ace allrounder Shakib Al Hasan quelled the uncertainty over his participation in the Bangladesh's upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka by stating that he is available for the series, starting from the next month. "I don't think there was any reason to doubt it (Sri Lanka series). Yes, if there is emergency, that would have been different case. But I will definitely play," Shakib said in the city on Wednesday after arriving in Dhaka from USA. Page 15
