Stocks fall as investors weigh earnings
The benchmark equity index retreated into the red in the last week before the Eid holiday as cautious investors opted to book profit on quick-gaining stocks. The week to Thursday featured five trading days as usual -- three sessions closed positive while two others faced corrections. Pakistan, India reel under heat wave
Pakistan issued a heat warning after the hottest March in 61 years, and in parts of neighbouring India schools were shut and streets deserted as an intense heat wave showed no signs of abating on Friday, officials said.
