Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Wednesday evening visited Evercare Hospital to inquire about the health of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, thrice-serving former Prime Minister and wife of a former President.
Upon his arrival at the hospital, he was received by BNP Secretary- General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Begum Khaleda Zia's personal physician Professor Dr. A. J. M. Zahid Hossain, Professor Dr. Shahabuddin Talukder, her younger son's wife Syeda Sharmila Rahman and her younger brother Shamim Iskander.
The head of interim government stayed at the hospital for about half an hour. During the visit, he urged Khaleda Zia's family members and party leaders to remain patient.
Khaleda Zia's medical team briefed the Chief Adviser on her current condition.
