Despite objection from the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of the Planning Ministry, the Cabinet Purchase Committee Monday approved the Industries Ministry's proposal to award contract to a Chinese contractor to set up the common tannery effluent treatment plant (CETP) at Savar Leather Industrial Park. - UNB
