CID gets more time for Pilkhana probe

March 11, 2010 00:00:00

A Dhaka court gave the Criminal Investigation Department a time extension on Wednesday, up to April 21, for investigating the Pilkhana killings during the BDR mutiny last year. Metropolitan magistrate AKM Enamul Haque gave the new date for submission of the investigation report after CID's Abdul Kahhar Akand, appealed for more time on Wednesday as the charge sheet in the criminal case was due. Over 70 people, including 57 army officers deputed to the BDR were killed during the Feb 25-26 mutiny at the border force's Pilkhana headquarters. — bdnews24.com
