CID team records Hasina's statement on Aug 21 attack

A 3-member CID team Thursday recorded statement of detained Awami League President Sheikh Hasina at a makeshift jail in connection with the August 21 grenade attack case, reports UNB.
The CID team included Special Police Super Nowser Ali, Additional Special Police Super Abdullah Aref and Additional Police Super Fazlul Kabir. They recorded her statement for nearly four hours from 11:50am.
The authorities started reinvestigation into the August 21 grenade attack case following confessional statement, made by arrested Mufti Hannan, a leader of banned Harkat-ul-Jihad (HUJI).
Hasina who luckily escaped the grisly grenade attack on her rally at Bangabandbu Avenue on August 21, 2004, suffered serious ear injury, caused by grenade blasts. The attack also left 24 people killed, including Awami League leader Ivy Rahman, while more than 400 others were seriously wounded.
