CJ backtracks on mandatory fee for justice-seekers

In the face of protest by the lawyers and their clerks, a day after enforcing a mandatory fee on the justice-seekers to raise fund for the apex court Staff Welfare Trust, the Chief Justice (CJ) gave in to the reaction. Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) secretary M Bodroddoza told reporters that the CJ has agreed to suspend the operation of his decision in this regard. — UNB
