Seven people were killed and at least 25 others injured as two buses collided in Natore's Baraigram Upazila on Saturday, report agencies.
On the same day, road mishap in capital city killed one while another accident in Bogura claimed one leave.
In Nature, two of the deceased were identified as Kawsar Ali, 16, and his sister Sadia, 12, while the identities of the others could not be known yet.
The accident occurred at 11:30am on Saturday in the Bonpara-Hatikumrul area, said Shafiqul Islam, chief of Bonpara Highway Police.
One of the dead, Mohna Akter, 26, was taken to hospital in serious condition and later succumbed to her injuries.
She was a resident of Walia village in Natore's Lalpur Upazila, according to sources from the hospital. Shariful, a passenger on the National Enterprise bus, said that their bus was overtaking an Akota Paribahan bus when a Siam Paribahan bus travelling in the opposite direction collided with it.

After the collision, the Siam Paribahan bus hit a truck parked nearby and the National Enterprise bus fell into a roadside ditch and hit a tree. Six people died on the spot. The police and the fire service rescued the victims after the incident was reported, said OC Shafiqul.
The 25 injured have been receiving treatment at different hospitals in Bonpara, Natore and Rajshahi, according to police.
Traffic came to a halt on the road following the incident and the police and fire service officials began their rescue work shortly after.
In the city, joyride turned tragic for a 35-year-old woman and her brother in the city's Shahbag area Saturday as their bike crashed into a traffic island, killing the woman on the spot.
The deceased was identified as Urmi Jahan Nishi, wife of Lalon Ahmed, originally from Cumilla's Laksam. Her brother, Mostafa, also sustained injuries in the accident.
According to the deceased's elder brother Bappi, Mostafa lost control of the speeding bike and hit the traffic island in front of Hotel Intercontinental.
Urmi fell off the bike and sustained serious head injuries. She was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), where doctors declared her dead at 1.50am.
In-charge of DMCH police outpost, Md Bachchu Mia, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue. "The deceased lived in the Bauniarbad area of Mirpur-11 in the city," he added.
In Bogura, a private university student was killed and two of his friends were hurt as a truck hit their bike in Bogura's Fuldighi on Friday. The deceased Bappy, 25, was a student of the American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) and from Fuldighi of Shajahanpur upazila, according to police.
His friends Pial and Ovi are undergoing treatment at Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Bogura highway at 7:15pm as Bappy and his friends were heading to Bonani from Fuldighi on a motorcycle, Shajahanpur Police Station Sub-Inspector Mizanur Rahman said.
"They were hit while trying to overtake a speeding truck, leaving all three critically injured. Bappy died on the spot," he added.
"We seized the truck while its driver and helper managed to flee."
