A report published on the front page of the June 10, 2021 issue of The Financial Express (FE) under the headline 'WB revises projection' contained some data-related errors.

The World Bank (WB) in its latest report has revised Bangladesh's economic growth projection upward to 3.6 per cent for the outgoing fiscal year (FY) 2020-21.

Earlier, the global lender had forecasted that the economy or gross domestic product (GDP) of Bangladesh would grow at the rate of 1.6 per cent for the fiscal.

The WB in its report on 'Global Economic Prospect' has also projected a 5.1 per cent GDP growth for Bangladesh in the upcoming FY 2021-22, not 5.01 per cent as was mentioned in the FE report.

The inadvertent mistakes are regretted.
