Ctg city to be extended on the south bank of Karnafuli

CHITTAGONG, Sept 24: About one hundred thousand people living in the south bank of Karnaphuli river are going to be included within the administrative jurisdiction of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) shortly. Concerned sources said, the CCC has decided to extend its jurisdiction from the existing 60 square miles to 120 square miles taking in its fold five unions of the south bank. They have been suffering a lot under a peculiar administration for decades unlike anywhere in the country.
