Dockworkers of Chittagong port, who went on an 8-hour work abstention, joined their work at 4pm Sunday, while Clearing and Forwarding (C and F) agents began work abstention in the noon, protesting the attack of dockworkers on some agents. C and F agent association sources said when some agents went to jetty no-4 for depositing documents, a group of dock workers swooped on them, leaving five people injured. Later, the agents stopped their work and held an emergency meeting at customs house premises, demanding punishment of the dock workers. Port secretary said port authority will hold a meeting with association leaders to settle the problem. Port sources said loading and unloading activities in the seaport resumed when the dockworkers returned to work. — UNB
