Customs seize 52 gold bars at Sylhet airport

SYLHET, Dec 15: Customs officials seized 52 gold bars worth around Tk 27 million from an aircraft at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Saturday morning. Ahmedur Reza Chowdhury, an assistant commissioner of customs intelligence, said the gold bars, weighing 6.32 kilograms, were concealed in a box under a seat of a Biman aircraft that arrived here from Dubai. — UNB
