DCC, RAJUK asked to demarcate parks, playgrounds in city

The High Court (HC) Tuesday ordered Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) and Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkhya (RAJUK) to demarcate the area under parks and playgrounds in the capital and dismantle all structures except those built for sports activities. Delivering the judgement upon long-pending Public Interest Litigation (PIL) writ petition, an HC division bench comprising Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury and Justice Sheikh M Zakir Hossain asked DCC and RAJUK to comply with the orders within a fortnight. - UNB
