New DCCI President Md Shahjahan Khan has said his chamber will give top priority to more integration of the country's business community with globalisation.
Talking to the FE on Saturday, he said as globalisation is now a stark reality, Bangladesh has to set its business establishments on the track to catch up with the ongoing developments in the outside world.
If not, the country will remain far behind in competition with others that are now making advances one after another in making breakthrough in businesses, he said.
"That is why our businessmen need to be kept abreast of latest developments in world economy and orient their businesses accordingly," Shahjahan Khan said.
The veteran business leader with a brilliant academic career said the DCCI, during his tenure, will bring business-to-business (B2B), government-to-government (G2G) and government-to-business (G2B) collaboration more pronounced. As result, both the public and the private sectors can become more close to chalk out the national interests, he added.
