Death toll rises to 33

BRAHMANBARIA, Apr 22 (UNB): Six more bodies were recovered until Friday noon raising the death toll of Thursday's launch capsize in Meghna River to 33 while the rescue operation has been declared completed with the salvage of the sunken launch.
BIWTC salvage ship Rustom started operation to salvage the sunken launch at 6:00 am today and retrieved it by noon.
The small launch, MV Bipasha, bound for Ajmir
of Sunamganj from Bhairab and carrying over 100 passengers, hit a sunken cargo vessel and capsised in the river at about 1:00 am Thursday.
BIWTC divers recovered 27 bodies until Thursday night and over 25 passengers went missing after the accident.
Relatives of the dead received the bodies while some people remained waiting at the spot for their missing loved ones.
