Demo against Tipai dam in front of UN HQ today

The International Farakka Committee (IFC) will form a human chain and demonstrate in front of the United Nations (UN) Headquarters in New York today (Tuesday, Jan 10) in protest against the Indian move to build Tipaimukh Dam. Earlier, on January 2, representatives from different organisations of expatriate Bangladeshis living in the US at a meeting at Club Sanam of New York Town Hall took the decision, according to a message received in Dhaka on Monday. — UNB
