Readymade garment workers Friday vandalised an apparel factory demanding arrears and bonus at Rupganj Upazila in Narayanganj. The agitating workers also damaged four cars of the factory, police said. The workers blockaded Dhaka-Sylhet Highway but lifted the barricade later as local MP Gazi Golam Dastagir assured them of making the factory authorities to clear up unpaid salaries and bonus. Meanwhile, workers of two garment factories Saturday demonstrated in Sadar Upazila in Gazipur demanding their salaries and festival bonus. Witnesses said the workers of Stylo Fashion Ltd of Masterbari area staged demonstrations and ransacked the windowpanes and furniture of the factory as the authority did not pay their salaries and bonus timely. Meanwhile, workers of Naj Sweater Factory staged demonstrations at Bymile.
