Dengue: 15 more die, 2,950 hospitalised

At least 15 people were reported dead from dengue and 2,950 more hospitalised with the mosquito-borne diseases during the last 24 hours until Wednesday morning.

Of the total, seven fatalities were reported in Dhaka city while the remaining eight deaths were reported outside the city, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) figures.

With the latest daily counts, the total fatalities from dengue claimed to 958 since January 2023.

Of the new dengue patients, some 726 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and 2,224 outside the city, according to DGHS.

Some 9,967 dengue patients were taking treatment in hospital across the country, 3, 538 of them were in Dhaka until Wednesday, the DGHS reported.
