Dhaka stocks gain slightly

Dhaka stocks slightly gained Sunday on the back of substantial trading of AB Bank Ltd, the day's top turnover leader.
The bank topped the list with scrips worth Tk 249.34 million traded.
The first session of the week also experienced rise of all the issues owned by the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB).
The 13 issues of ICB and its mutual funds rose propelled by the disclosure of net asset values (NAVs) of ICB mutual funds.
The price of AB Bank continued to rise and closed at Tk 3759.50 per share, however, the issue peaked at Tk 3820.00.
All the market barometers-DSE General Index (DGEN), DS 20 and All Shares Price Index or DSI slightly gained 7.76 points, 6.37 points and 7.32 points respectively and closed at 3087.10, 2401.25 and 2606.92.
The turnover declined to Tk 2.99 billion from Tk 3.02 billion.
The market capitalisation rose to Tk 858.80 billion from Tk 856.89 billion.
The price of the DBH on its second day trading closed at Tk 1550.00 per share, 0.84 per cent lower than the previous day making it the third top turnover leader with shares worth Tk 114.37 million changing hands.
Per share of the newly listed company Thursday, however, rose as high as Tk 1680.00 against the offer price of Tk 210 per share (face value Tk 100 and premium Tk 110) while the lowest price of the issue on the day was Tk 1000.
Out of 247 issues traded on the day, 151 declined, 85 advanced and 11 remained unchanged.
