Eight more children died with measles-like symptoms in the country in the past 24 hours until 8:0 am on Thursday, according to health authorities.
With the latest daily tally, the total fatalities from measles and measles-like symptoms rose to 779 since mid-March this year.
Of them, 95 were confirmed as measles cases, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its daily bulletin.
Meanwhile, as many as 974 suspected and 197 confirmed measles infections were reported in the past 24 hours.
With these, the total suspected measles infections rose to 115,138 and confirmed infections reached 14,104.
In response to a measles outbreak rapidly spreading across the country, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has already vaccinated over 18.48 million children since April.
Measles is a highly contagious viral disease, which affects individuals of all ages and remains one of the leading causes of death among young children globally.
Meanwhile, dengue claimed two more lives in the past 24 hours while 306 others were hospitalised with dengue symptoms.
The total death toll from dengue rose to 32 while the total caseloads reached 9,676 since January this year, said the DGHS.
