Fake currencies of Tk 50m seized

Detective Branch seized fake currencies of Tk 50 million (5 crore) and equipment from Shaheednagar at Lalbagh police station in the capital and arrested two people on Monday afternoon. The arrestees are Sagar Ahmed and Harun ur Rashid alias Mustafa Chisty. DB police said acting on a tip-off they launched a drive and arrested Sagar and Mustafa Chisty from an apartment of a 17-storied building of Haji Abul Kalam at Shaheed Nagar at about 3pm when they were making the fake currency.The fake currencies include Bangladesh Taka, currencies of Myanmar, U.S. and Oman. - UNB
