Five killed in road crash in Laxmipur, Naogaon

Five people were killed and 59 others injured in two road accidents in Laxmipur and Naogaon Monday. In Laxmipur, the driver of a Ramgati-bound bus lost control over the steering, and the vehicle plunged into a ditch at 6am, leaving four passengers dead on the spot and 50 others injured. In Naogaon said a paddy-loaded truck turned turtle near Khagra Bridge in the town at noon, leaving one labourer killed and nine others injured. The paddy harvesting labourers, hailing from Kushtia, were returning with their share in the truck. — UNB
