Four killed in Savar road crashes

SAVAR, Jan 24: Four people, including two women, were killed in separate road crashes here Sunday morning while they were going to the Biswa Ijtema ground in Tongi to attend the Akheri Munajat. Witnesses said a woman, Monowara (35), was crushed under the wheels of a speedy truck on EPZ-Abdullahpur Road near Tongibari bus stand at about 7:00am. Three other people, including a woman, were also killed in separate road accidents on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway near Savar Thana and Hemayetpur bus stands at the same time on their way to the Ijtema ground. But, the identities
of the deceased could not
be known immediately.
