The government has again increased the prices of fuel oils at the consumer level.
The prices of petrol, octane, and kerosene have been increased by Tk 5 per litre for the month of June.
The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources disclosed the information in a statement on Sunday.
It said in line with the change in the prices of fuel in the international market, the price of octane was revised up to Tk 145, petrol to Tk 140, and kerosene to Tk 135 at the consumer level in Bngladesh. But the price of diesel was kept unchanged at Tk 115.
The prices will be effective from today.
The government last revised fuel prices on April 18 -- to a record high, after subsidising fuel prices during the ongoing US-Israel war on Iran. The government made the move despite global prices trending downward.
